I knooooooow.

I'm finally blogging about Scrabble. :D

Even though it happened so long ago. But I think I'd really like to read this in the future and remember my final Scrabble competition .

(Oh gosh it sounds so sad doesn't it.)

It happened on 5 July I THINK. :D
Gosh it's like, 2 months ago! I don't think I'll remember it clearly already. Oh dear.
But I'll try . Yay!

I'll skip over all the annoying and boring parts of course. Basically,
We assembled
Had a crisis when we realised one team only had 2 members and they would DIEEEEEE with all the walkovers. ): Poor babies.
Took our temperatures!
Went into the marquee. :D
And took our seats.

I was quite distraught about not being in the same team as Gar. ): Because Gar was so far away! And I had no one to turn to when I had a mental breakdown during the game or something.
No one but Twin and Wenting of course. :D

So anyway, our first game was against.. Yishun Town I think?
Not sure. Some school with green uniform anyway.
They were lower Secondary kids.
My opponent was quite amiable! Until I started to win and he became annoying TTM.
Like, when I sneezed and decided to do the right thing by going to sanitize my hands, he actually took my rack and LOOKED AT MY TILES! Omg I so wanted to slap him.
I was so stunned though. ): So I didn't do anything to save my tiles from being raped by him. ): Indecent exposure!
Yeah so the game continued with me getting increasingly annoyed with him.
And ended with me winning. :D

Okay I think I'm forgetting one game. ): I remember playing against RI, SJI, and Maris Stella. But oh darn, I forgot the other school we played against. So I shall just blog by game. :D

The game against SJI was so gross I almost died.
Okay but my opponent was really nice. (:
He was playing by the rules and all! No sneaky peeks at my tiles or underhand methods. It was a rather close game though. I won by abit only!
UNFORTUNATELY, they had a TERRIBLE captain . I'm not gna be nasty and say bad stuff about him.
I'm not. I'm not. I'm not.

OKAY FORGET IT.
He was a horrid person so I don't see why I shouldn't say bad things about him.
I suppose as a disclaimer I should say that he might be a nice person actually but the stress of the game and the pressure of being a team captain might have changed him slightly.
Okay with that said,
HE WAS MEANNNNNNN. Gosh I have never met such a sore loser!
He lost to Renyue (unsurprisingly) and therefore turned his attentions to my opponent, his teammate.
The clock was ticking and it was my opponent's turn.*
And his team captain was URGING him to delay his time and therefore lose by a smaller spread.
While this is not against the rules, it is extremely IMMORAL AND WRONG AND UTTERLY MEAN to do that. Not to mention unfair!
Thank goodness my opponent was good and kind. Unlike his evil and immoral (and shameless and indecent and terrible terrible terrible!) team captain.
I really cannot emphasize my immense distaste for him.



* For people who don't play Scrabble, it is possible for the person to delayyyyyyyyyy his move until the master clock (i.e. the clock that beats all the smaller clock we have) shows that the time is up.

Okay next.
The game with Raffles was GAHHHHHHHHHH . ): I tried my best, I really did.
But the guy I was playing with was so.. FAST! How can anyone play so fast. ):
Twin was really cute! Asking them to let us win because we need it for our CCA points to get into JC. :D
But turns out they need to win it to get the grade for some English assignment. -.-

OH ANDANDDDDD.
I was really shocked to realise that my opponent was from St Andrews! So I asked him if he knew OTTer! And he did! Oh gosh. Like, how coincidental is that! Unfortunately, he was NOTHING like OTTer . I mean like, no random spasms of laughter and no Hi5.
Apparently he spent his time hacking into things . Oh dear.
Nothing much to talk about for this game. :S
Lost it of course. But I was okay with it. :D
Becauseeeeeee I kinda expected it.
At least the spread wasn't that wide.

My last game was with Maris Stella.
I was quite excited! Because I've never played against them before.
I played against this really quiet guy that got me quite annoyed at him because
1. HE DIDN'T TALK TO MEEEEEE. ): I was left babbling to myself like some idiot.
And I was quite hurt when he told his friend something but I forgot what. ):
2. He played a ladder. I HATE LADDERS. Because it closes the board and makes me sad. ): It was a REALLY close game. He was annoyingly difficult to beat.
But okay la.
He's quite nice now that I talk to him more. :D

Because that was our last game, we stayed at the same table! So we talked to the Maris Stella people and made friends.
I THINK THEY'RE QUITE COOL.
And my opponent had this really ancient ancient ancient phone that even my dad won't be seen dead carrying! So it was quite funny. :D
We exchanged contacts and all. So now wo men shi peng you! :D

Okay so then the results were announced and... the results were GOOD. :D
Because our team 2 AKA Gar's team won something!
I LOVEEEEEEEE GAR. :D
And felt really proud of her. :D
